What You Can Expect
The Well Built PM Boot Camp is a practical, high-impact training program designed for construction Project Managers who are responsible for protecting the health of the job. This program helps PMs move from task managers to margin protectors by installing a repeatable Project Management System built around planning, risk management, cost control, communication, forecasting, and closeout.
Build the PM Operating System
- Understanding the PM’s role as the protector of job health and margin
- Planning the work through contract review, scope delineation, risk registers, and responsibility mapping
- Building a project kick-off rhythm that connects precon, buyout, schedule logic, and field execution
- Using the Iron Triangle to make better decisions around scope, schedule, cost, and quality
- Running tighter RFIs, submittals, meeting rhythms, action logs, and communication standards
- Creating clear expectations so PMs can lead proactively instead of constantly reacting
Controls, Forecasting & Margin Protection
- Applying the PM system to active jobs so new habits show up in the numbers
- Improving change logs, pricing guardrails, delay documentation, and change event tracking
- Building stronger WIP inputs, percent-complete rules, labor tracking, and cost-to-complete forecasts
- Using accountability rhythms to review issues, decisions, blockers, risks, and cash outlook
- Leading under pressure with steadier communication, clearer expectations, and direct follow-through
- Closing jobs with punchlist burn-down, turnover standards, O&M tracking, and lessons learned capture
