Position Summary
The Senior Consultant is a key leader within Well Built Construction Consulting, responsible for leading client engagements, driving strategic change, and contributing to business development. This role requires deep industry knowledge, the ability to build trust with construction executives, and a proven track record of delivering measurable results for clients.
Senior Consultants work with clients at all levels, particularly senior executives, to assess needs, develop and implement solutions, and oversee the execution of strategic initiatives. They also contribute to Well Built’s growth by developing new business, retaining existing clients, and mentoring junior team members. This role carries accountability for profitable client engagements, strong account retention and growth, effective team leadership, and consistent delivery of measurable client results.
Key Responsibility Areas
1. Client Project Support
Outcome: Successfully contribute to the execution and delivery of client projects through accurate, timely, and reliable project support that meets internal quality standards and results in positive feedback from project leads.
Tasks:
Assist consulting teams in executing client projects, including execution support and training.
Accurately document and distribute meeting notes for 100% of assigned client meetings, clearly capturing decisions, action items, and next steps.
Support client deliverables such as project updates, projections, and participation in Discovery Projects.
Work closely with Senior Consultants and Directors to learn about the Construction Industry.
Complete assigned project support tasks by or before deadlines, maintaining consistent reliability and responsiveness to project team needs.
Build and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with clients and team members.
2. Deliverable Creation & Execution Support
Outcome:
High-quality, accurate deliverables are consistently developed and refined, meeting internal quality standards with minimal revisions required prior to client presentation.
Client execution support is structured, timely, and reliable, contributing to measurable client progress and outcomes.
Tasks:
Support client deliverables, including financial projections, strategy execution, and training sessions.
Participate in Discovery Projects, gathering insights, and providing recommendations.
Assist in creating training materials, playbooks, and customized implementation plans.
Conduct thorough quality assurance checks to ensure deliverables meet internal standards for accuracy, clarity, and readiness prior to client presentation.
Collaborate with the team to refine and improve Well Built’s consulting frameworks, as directed.
Prepare client-facing materials, data, and projections with a high degree of accuracy, maintaining a minimum 90% accuracy standard across assigned deliverables.
Manage workload across assigned projects to support an average quarterly billable utilization rate of approximately 90%.
3. Business Development & Marketing Support (Optional)
Outcome: Contribute to firm growth through participation in business development and marketing initiatives, as interest and workload allow.
Tasks:
Support new business development efforts.
Create individual content and contribute to marketing activities, such as creating LinkedIn posts, newsletters, and more.

Experience & Skills
3-5 years of experience in the construction or consulting industry.
Basic knowledge of the construction industry.
